BROWN SUGAR PANCAKES

"Spicy cinnamon and warm brown sugar make the perfect flavor combination, giving these pancakes warm caramel-like undertones. They are sure to become your new go-to pancake recipe" - Samantha

INGREDIENTS

– 2 large eggs – 1 1/4 cup milk – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 4 tbs butter, melted – 1/2 cup brown sugar – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 1/2 tsp salt – 1 tsp ground cinnamon – 1 tbs baking powder

Should I use light or dark brown sugar?

You can use light or dark brown sugar in this recipe. Light brown sugar will provide a milder flavor, while dark brown sugar will give them a more robust flavor.

Tools I Recommend

- Measuring Cups - Measuring Spoons - A Mixing Bowl - A Whisk - A Large Skillet or Griddle

Step 1

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, melted butter, and brown sugar. Mix until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Step 2

Sift the flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking powder into the liquid ingredients. Whisk until a smooth, slightly thin batter develops, with just a few small lumps remaining.

Step 3

Heat up a large skillet over medium-low heat, or to a temperature of approximately 325°F (165°C).

Step 4

Once the skillet is preheated, add a pat of butter to prevent your pancakes from sticking, and to give them lightly crisped edges.

Step 5

Pour 1/4 cup of batter into the buttered pan to form each pancake. Cook for around 1 minute and 30 seconds until the underside is golden, then flip and cook for another minute.

HOW TO SERVE

Serve these brown sugar pancakes hot from the griddle! Top them with whipped cream, real maple syrup, butter, fruit, or even more brown sugar.
