About

Hi, my name is Samantha!

I am the face behind Made in Motherhood. I create from scratch baked goods and sweet treats. I’m a mom of three with a passion for baking and caring for my children. In my home you will almost always find a sink full of dirty dishes, crayons on the table, and a bowl of dough on the counter rising. All my recipes are made with real ingredients and lots of love, just like mom used to make them.

How it Started…

I spent most of my adult life yo-yo dieting, fearing carbs, and restricting entire food groups. When I was diagnosed with a serious auto immune condition in 2021 I began to reevaluate my relationship with food and with myself. Once I overcame my fears that surrounded food and my body image, I rediscovered my love for baking. Since I was a young girl, my happy place has been the kitchen.

Sharing is Caring

I started this blog to share my recipes and help others learning to navigate the kitchen and feed their families. All of my recipes are made with real ingredients and of course lots of love. It’s my hope to share my family recipes with your family family. All of my recipes are thoroughly tested, and kid approved!

What you will find here

Here you will find recipes for every occasion, with new ones coming every week! My guilty pleasure is dessert and I love to bake, so at Made in Motherhood there are plenty of sweet treats and sourdough recipes. If you are new to sourdough, I would love to teach you!

  1. Hi Sam!
Thank you for your website and recipes! You have made my sourdough journey so much more fun!

I began making sourdough bread about 3 or 3-1/2 years ago. All the advice I received made bread-making a chore and my loaves were ugly (tasty, but ugly).

A friend of mine shared your website with me and I began using your method to make my sourdough creations. I love your method and have baked several pretty loaves! 💖

Thank you, again, for sharing your love of sourdough!!
